Due to the new 4 day school week this year some parents are without childcare on Fridays. Payson Community Kids have stepped in to open up all day on Fridays to accommodate those kids. I recently donated my time and $ and took 35 of the kids to the Sawmill Theatre. It was a lot of fun and I learned a lot about the kids. They all have a different personality. To me they are like the sandlot kids trying to find something fun to do. We want to take them swimming at Tonto Pool if we can arrange it. I’m sure the kids have missed the Rumsey Pool for the last 2 summers now. I had to throw that in ????♂️as I’m sure the kids are as upset as I am about our town pool closing. I’m not giving up on the kids. PS: What happened to the Splash ???? Pad that has been on the books for 2 years?? I’m only volunteering for the Police Department and other groups that support our kids. Our kids are this town’s future so please sponsor or support them- all of them from the community college and high schoolers down to Preschoolers. If you’d like to donate to Payson Community Kids after school program just visit the center and please donate. You can donate to the Fun Friday Funds so I can take the kids to the movies ???? or if you are a business and want to sponsor the movie ???? day it is $200 to rent a theatre and get kids drinks and popcorn thanks to Craig at the Sawmill Theatre .
