Now is the time to take a stand with Transparent Payson
We are citizens of Payson, Arizona who are striving to make our local government more transparent. We believe in the people having a vote as to what happens with their money, their land, and their town. We believe that elected officials are there to serve the public, and as such we should have a voice in making decisions that affect us all.
We are nonpartisan/bipartisan with no party affiliation, and no hidden agenda; we are YOU.
We believe in Payson, Arizona, and its future. We support growth that will better serve all of its citizens while also remaining financially sound.
I am the Chairperson for Transparent Payson. Transparent Payson is the political committee that sponsored Propositions 401 and 402. The Propositions were passed by the voters in 2018, with 60% voting in favor of passage. One Proposition ensured transparency in bond finance sources and issuance. The other required that voters approve long-term lease agreements for public lands.
The Town of Payson has recently passed an emergency agenda item to repeal the Propositions. Attempts were previously made in 2021 to repeal the initiatives. The 2021 effort was not successful. Currently, the Propositions have been repealed.
Our community does better when local government is held responsible to the voter’s will. To accomplish this will now require legal intervention. Your contribution will help fund the effort. DONATE NOW!
I appreciate your consideration.
