Rim Country AZRA We have spent countless hours over the last five days in prayer and supplication with the Holy Spirit as well as dozens of conversations with Republican members of the House of Representatives seeking wisdom and discernment regarding the events that led to the vote on HR2003 last Thursday. The February 23 Special Joint Hearing is seen by most as the epicenter of the explosion that has ripped the Republican Conservative movement into a circular firing squad.
The division is evident in many ways. For example, of the top 16 House Members in the latest AZRA Scorecard, seven voted nay and nine voted aye to expel Rep. Harris. Our position is that all sixteen prayed, wrestled and made their decision based not only on the events in the Feb. 23 Hearing, but the decisions made before and after that hearing up to the time of the vote, including the evidence presented in the ethics hearing and the closed Republican Caucus Meeting.
The headlines in the media, the comments on Facebook pages, the press releases and combative confrontations at Party meetings have all come together to one single result – division of the constitutional conservatives into competing camps that will destroy our ability to advance the clarion call to restore our state and our nation. Patriotic members of the public with sincere hearts and minds are now attacking legislators who had to make one of the toughest decisions in their lives regardless of their vote. Many may not realize that small prayer groups were the norm in the Members Lounge. We have prayed with members who voted aye and members that voted nay that their decision would be made only for the advancement of our values and message. The tearful anguish regarding the vote and aftermath of HR2003 has been a life-changing spiritual and emotional event in the lives of many who voted regardless of how they voted on this bill.
Now is not the time for our brothers and sisters in arms to strike out at one another. Now is the time to remember who the real foe is. The enemy is united in their effort. They will use this as a means to keep us divided. With the many critical issues at hand, now is the time for us to remember the true enemy. A governor who has become the Veto Queen, an attorney general who will weaponize our judicial branch. Now is the time to UNITE! The upcoming budget gives conservatives the most important opportunity to accomplish great policies –
– Policies to return the focus of our schools to traditional educational curriculum instead of social engineering, reestablish First Amendment parental rights, mandate judicial reform that will reduce crime on our streets and provide safety in our homes and communities, defend our sovereignty by closing our porous border, guarantee fair and legal elections and stop out of control government spending and regulation. Will we unite at this crucial moment that could “Make Arizona Great Again” – or stay divided and give victory to the Democrats? Join us in saying “Not on our watch”.
Many across the political aisle are rejoicing in the division within our ranks. A division that has given them this opportunity to rob us of our liberties, morality, and to further the indoctrination of our children. Will we keep the pledge we make at the beginning of every Republican meeting (One nation under God, indivisible…)? Or is it just a hollow formality we do?
Our prayers and interactions at AZRA have been and will continue to be based on restoring unity, fellowship, grace, and comfort to all involved that His will would be triumphant through this and bring victory through what seems like total defeat.
