Office life: business team during a meeting
By Kim Nichols
The people that really want to make a difference in Payson, that want to save our country; patriots, republicans, conservatives, libertarians, constitutionalists, etc. are virtually ineffective without organization and the ability to work together. There are so many little groups of 20- or-so people struggling to get people to join and help that these groups eventually fizzle out. No one wants to go to meetings all day every day or every night of the week. We’ve got the Gila County Republican Committee (GCRC), the Rim Country Republican Club (RCRC), Arizona Republican Assembly (AZRA), the Tea Party, Committee of Safety, and at least one or two more.
Last year a group of citizens hosted a conservative election integrity event called Save the Vote that was a success even though the GCRC and the RCRC wouldn’t help promote the event. Now this year there are rumors some of the people involved in Save the Vote last year are breaking away from the creators of last year’s event to start a new event scheduled in August, starting from scratch instead of building on the foundation that was put in place last year. What is the point? Spinning our wheels and chasing our own tail doesn’t accomplish much. Yet that seems to be the outcome for a lot these groups.
Republicans, conservatives, patriots, constitutionalists (people that love our country) need to learn how to unite and get along to be effective… to make a difference. Isn’t the goal the same for all these groups? Maintain our freedoms as Americans, fix our schools, fix our broken elections, restore justice, follow the US Constitution, don’t kill babies, close the border, bring the cartels to justice, get rid of the drugs and human trafficking, stamp out satanic groups and demons, bring God back into our country, start true fellowship and communities that look after each other instead of having to always be on guard because no matter what you do it seems like there is always someone out there ready to screw you over if given the opportunity. Maybe we do need a reset. A spiritual reset, an awakening. Are we Christians? Are we behaving like Christians? Do we care about others or do we just want to be right, or in charge, or the one who censors the content before we will participate?
If we ALL would work together and try to help each other instead of squash each other, who knows how quickly we might be able to rightfully regain power over those who think they hold power over us in this town.
Wouldn’t it be awesome to have nice parks throughout our town that are well manicured and have restrooms that work? How about nice streets and sidewalks? How about town code being enforced to protect your property rights? A swimming pool and community center that the town owns? A dog park with grass, hiking trails, a lake that won’t cause cancer, free clean drinking water, a down town that attracts a variety of culture and shops. This town could be a gold mine for ALL those who live here, instead it is a goldmine for a small group who are pillaging the taxpayers. We out number them huge…why not organize and take back the town? Got to go, I’m late for a meeting…lol.
