Overseer, The Overcomers Church (Payson)
The second amendment to our constitution is under the ruthless attack led by people who have a desire to disarm the American populace, why? The answer is simple, progressive liberals, people whose only quest in life is to gain power over their fellow human beings. The primary impediment to achieving that goal is, armed law abiding citizens.
In The Holy Bible, Verse twelve of the eighteenth chapter of the Book of John, we see the smartest being ever, Jesus Christ (God in the Flesh), being betrayed by Judas, one of his trusted Apostles, who also served as his treasurer (He knew in advance that Judas would betray him), The Apostle Peter attempts to rescue Jesus by drawing a sword and slicing off the ear of Malchus, one of the arresting officers.
Jesus performs a miracle by restoring Malchus’ ear while ordering Peter to holster his sword.
Notice the fact that Jesus, simply ordered the holstering of the weapon, but he did not order Peter to get rid of it.
Keeping the above mentioned true incident in mind, we go to the back of the Book of Luke. Chapter twenty-two: verse thirty-five: And He (Jesus) said unto them (Disciples), “When I sent you without purse, scrip, and shoes, lacked ye anything?” And they said, “Nothing,” Verse thirty-six: then said he unto them, “But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.” Verse thirty-seven: for I say unto you, that this is written must yet be accomplished in me, and he was reckoned among the transgressors: for the things concerning me have an end. Verse thirty-eight: And they said, “Lord behold, here are the two swords,” And he said unto them, “It is enough (sufficient).”
Notice again the fact that Jesus did not order his followers to get rids of the weapons, instead , he commanded them to sell their possessions and purchase weapons to protect themselves!
That same being, Jesus Christ, now reigning and serving mankind as our High Priest, never rescinded the order. His followers today (Disciples) are under the same orders!
According to Jesus and the constitution, you have the God-given right to bear arms!
