Doug Ducey vetoed election integrity bills in 2020, refused to call a special session for election integrity, continued state of emergency for COVID when none existed, promoted lockdowns, mandatory masking of businesses, accepted federal money to release private medical information in support of vaccine passports, allowed Health Smart Card (vax passport) in Arizona. In 2018, he appointed RINO Senator Martha McSally, who recently lost to Democrat Kyrsten Sinema, to replace John McCain’s seat after Jon Kyl, which he appointed earlier, resigned. McSally ended up losing (again) to Democrat Mark Kelly [1] He enforced stay at home order for one month and then extended the order. He also forced some businesses to close that had reopened. He also did not recognize any voter fraud in his own state and then went on to certified the election result.

Rusty Bowers a staunch opponent of election integrity and anti-Trumper, voting with the Democrats and blocking all calls for special sessions on election integrity. He is an intrenched member of the swamp. Karen Fann entered into a “secret” agreement with the MCBOS, absolving them from any wrong doing and removing all financial sanctions. We still do not have the splunk logs or routers, and there was no additional subpoena or decertification. T.J. Shope killed election integrity bills, came out against the resolution that would end Doug Ducey’s COVID emergency order. As an AZ State rep of LD08 and the Rules Committee Chairman. e refused to let the proxy harvesting bill, HB2012, come to the floor for a vote. In AZ a single chairman can bring unlimited proxies to the GOP State meeting and this is how the RINOs have stayed in power. For example during one meeting a chairman brought 90 proxies. More recently he, as a state Senator, along with a couple of others, killed Rep Brett Roberts’ Consumer Protection Bill which would have made vaccine passports illegal. He rarely attended monthly GOP meetings. Finally he was not involved in investigating the fraudulent 2020 AZ election.[3] He also endorses RINO Karrin Taylor Robson.
David Schweikart voted in favor of HR550 that allows Federal money to flows into State departments of health to create an ‘interconnected’ database to track who is vaccinated and who is not and ‘communicates’ to other states and federal government for digital tracking. Kelly Townsend is for a constitutional committee and has been funded by Pfizer and big Pharma. She voted against limiting mail in ballots. [15]. She also supports a constitutional convention which is an attack on the Constitution and America’s God given rights.
Tom Morrissey has endorsed Jim Lamon, and Matt Salmon. Tom Morrissey has made a partnership with democrat Kirsten Sinema, and has said he would support democrat Mark Kelly if Blake Masters (the Trump endorsed candidate for US Senate) got elected in the Primary at a public Tea Party meeting.

What names are missing from this tightly interlaced group of disappointments? Locally all but Morrissey? Maybe… but it has been made clear that Higgins, Flaherty and Mcallister-Smith are the official slate of the MHA candidates and are endorsed by the group that is trying to make YOU pay for their Granite Dells Park with a 49 year lease and maintenance agreement at the end of which the taxpayers have nothing to show for the over 61 million paid to the MHA. Contrary to what the Roundup Skews-paper reports, the MHA’s giving back to the community is rather small in comparison to their earnings and holdings. The Roundup has been in the pocket of the MHA and has been reprinting the lies and promises of the MHA going back decades. From an ASU campus & ice rinks to expensive parks this is what citizens should investigate before backing more bureaucracy in Payson.
No Candidate is perfect, but now more than ever it is important to not vote without research of your own. There are websites you can search to get the financial history of long time politicians. Two in particular are called www.seethemoney.az.gov, and www.opensecrets.org. You can look at local candidates funding by going to www.paysonaz.gov and searching for elections. You can also go to www.azleg.gov and look at how current legislators have voted on certain bills. If this information is not posted, you can use our favorite form of information and file a simple Freedom of Information Act (FIOA) request and the information, by law, must be provided to you in a timely manner.
