The Payson News is back to serve our community with the much needed unbiased, uncensored truth in journalism. Sitting back in silence is not an option for us, but trying to find a way to bring you the news without financial support has been most challenging.
Since its inception, The Payson News has been running advertising for our supporters for free. Our advertisers enjoyed free advertisements in twenty-eight issues, most with free ad design services. We were glad to do this, and would like to continue to be a true service to our local businesses. We hope you stay with us and together we will both grow.
It is under this premise that we ask you, “Do you want a news source that does the research, provides the backup documentation to prove what we are reporting is truth?” Or do you want to spin deeper and deeper in the lies that the Roundup continues to spew? What a disservice to our community, we are of the opinion that they must have sold their soul to the Devil to print such nonsense. What would one think if you were new to Town? You’d think everything is peaches and cream in Payson. You’d think this little town would have a newspaper that took pride in their reporting taking seriously their roll in the community. Nope, that’s not the case, the Roundup would rather gas light you. They don’t dig for the truth and don’t verify sources or get both sides of the story. It’s almost worse what they don’t print. Skewed perspectives on issues can give others the excuse to misbehave or give you a false foundation from which to make decisions. No, YOU deserve better than that. The record must be set straight for the history books.
We hope you will help support our noble efforts and give the Roundup a bit of competition. It might be the incentive for them to do better. It is more important than ever to help us continue to bring the real news to you now to properly navigate these crazy times, this crazy world we find ourselves in. Where up is down and down is up, and it just keeps getting more and more ludicrous.
